The note to Kedhira

I thought we left it open that you were all still thinking about what you were going to leave in the note to Kedhira and discuss it on the board. As we left it, you told her that you needed to talk and that you had killed Krand.

The thing you guys are missing so far is giving her a reason to talk to you. So you have killed Krand, and eluded to her involvement with trading in slaves. Why (especially if she is guilty) would she want to talk to or confront you? You guys might want to think about it from her angle, would you want to expose yourself to the people who admittedly killed a potentially dangerous or powerful ally? There was some discussion of the party pretending to be interested in taking over whatever Krand was doing for her, but aside from the discussion I don't know what you decided. I will post the letters you found as comments to this post so you can discuss more about what you are doing in regards to Kedhira.

  1. Tell Kidhira when the next set of humans are ready. If the others are as strong as the last group I will throw a little something extra in to the agreement. Good work Krand

  2. Kalack, your services are most welcome. I hope this tribute meats with your approval. Be cautious there are those in the hall that have been asking about your unique trade. I will need another shipment for the deep in 3 weeks, the more muscle the better. Remember I will take only Halfling stock for those hard to reach places, although a goblin will not go amiss.

  3. OK, I was thinking that we should approach it maybe like this. Kidhira is a business woman and we tell her that we know she is in the slave trade and that we are looking for Ella's BF. If she doesn't put us in touch with the right people then we will make it even harder for her to do business. (ie we will start going after her suppliers) IF that doesn't get her attention, we can look up the noble person with the leopard sigil. Talk to people hear in the underground or we go top side and ask around in Fellcrest. That's what I have to start with. Please comment on this plan so we can get going when we start back up on Monday.

  4. Now you are starting to think, things like this are much more likely to get a response than just demanding an audience.

There are still other ways you can play it so let me know if there is a consensus on what to put in the letter to Kidhira.

  5. If there are a lot of slaves that come through here and don’t leave then they must be using them for something in the mines. New slaves need to be equipped with tools, clothes, and food. Let’s ask around to see if there have been any unusually large orders for the above items placed. Someone would have to have seen a big ol’ cart of pick axes hauling out.

Next, with the fact that we fought Drugar and believe that they are involved, I have no problem hanging out scouting the shop and seeing where they go. We can follow them and see if they lead us anywhere. I don’t like threatening to make it harder to do business. It doesn’t seem right to mess with someone’s business like that. However; I am all for going in and strong arming the 2 thugs at the shop and getting our info that way.

  6. Oh half elf what should I do with you?!? Hitting somebady to get info out of them rarely works, unless you are a half elf, they will rat on their kind at the first sign of violence. I don't believe that strong arming the drugar will work. Also it was told that the drugar and Kedhira weren't coming out the main door so they must have a secret door to the maze of tunnels.
Now if you take away someones money they will be spitting mad and that's what we need to do to Kedhira. It is a good point that they will need extra tools for the mines. You suprised me there, did you have help with that good suggestion?!?
Another option is that we hire a guide or tracker to help us with the tunnels and try to find their access to the tunnels. Or find someone who doesn't like Kedhira and work with them to get information about her and mess up her slave business. Keep the good suggestions comming my Half elf buddy or we will have to use your other tactic.... growl at them like a sick little kitty until it annoys them to death.

  8. As a matter of fact. I watched Star Trek at work yesterday and they rigged a torpedo to get the gasses coming out of the Klingon cloaked ship and said. "It's got to have a tail pipe." So it got me to thinking of following waste products that in turn got me thinking they would have to get all the stuff there first. So yes a little help from my job.

And... If you are suggesting that we ambush goods coming into here to make their business harder. I don't think that we have the time to do that. 2ndly how would we know which ones to take out. Though you have kinda of good intentions I believe that the wizards 2 rule should be remembered here. Even good intentions can lead to the greatest harm. We may be destroying sopmeones livelehood that needs the money to save a child that will come to this world and be the savior of us all.
