I was kind of out of it when we ended last session. What is this prisoner’s story? Name, race, occupation, how he got here, how long he’s been here, what he knows about down below. Does he want to continue down with us or is he going to try to make it back to seven pillar hall on his own?
I would hate to leave here and allow them to restack their defences. My dailys are gone, but with a short rest I will be fine to continue on.

Is anyone out there?
ReplyDeleteThe prisoner's name is Valdras and he claims to be a trader from Saldona who heard about the riches and treasures that could be purchased in the 7 pillar hall. He traveled there with 4 companions, Halla, Davros, Griss, and Shimaron. Davros was their leader and told them of the riches that they would find but betrayed them and sold them into slavery. He did not know Davros well but served in the Mountaineers with him for 3 years. Valdras has since learned that Davros worships some "pagan" god and has come here in some sort of service to that devil.
ReplyDeleteValdras came with the group as he is a linguist and not many in Saldona know 'fartongue'. He has been here a couple of months and does not know of the fate of his companions, though Davros serves the ferbergs(what Valdras calls the gnolls) in some fashion.
Everyone notices that his speach sounds foreign and his accent is harsh. You also notice that he has been beaten and what appeared to be bluish dye around his bonds is in fact blood. Lastly you notice his pupils reflect your torchlight in silver flashes similar to small reflected mirrors, almost like a cats eyes but with a smaller more intense reflection. His hair is a bit more coarse and his features a little less defined as his face seems to be a soft almond shape. What little facial hair he has appears to be thin and soft like that of a teenage human boy.
Hold on there a minute. First off what kind of creature is this to shed blue blood? I have heard of nobles having blue blood, but I have seen andros bleed and he leaks red like all of us, so what sort of creature is he. Second, Saldona... where is that. I have a crude map of the vale and if you could just point that out to me, it would be a big help. We would like answers but first we have to finish a quest of the god Avandra, then we might have some free time to investigate this Saldona.
