- Does the underground have a tatoo artist that can give me a quick prelate tattoo?
- Why are the magic useing "ska" actually called mystborn?
- Does the resistiance have a leader?
- How is the "white cloth" made. It looked like it was being produced on a farm.
Questions for the group.
1. Are we thinking that we are on the side of the rebellion?
2. Will the powers that we are able to use going to make everyone think that we are mystborn? ie. If Rellis/Ahrin (Rodney I forgot your name) teleports during a fight. That will probably look like magic.
I, for one, feel inclined to join the rebelion. While D'zerroth cannot or will not give me any additional information on this evil I am to fight, I am begining to believe it has to do directly with the tyranical "god" that rules this land. I am certainly willing to re-evaluate the situation as we learn more about the rebelion, but that is where my gut leads me now.
ReplyDeleteIf the rebelion can provide us with tatoos, that would be a great help. If not, we will simply have to deal with it.
Also, the only ones that are called Mystborn are the ones who can draw power from all 8 spices. The rest are just mystings.
I think joining the rebellion is the start choice for right now. They seem to be on the side that would be willing to help us. The other side seems to be against pretty much 4 out of 5 of us. I am not in favor of a tattoo. For one I have a wonderful face and I don't need any enhancements, but also we really don't have enough information to really jump at that right away. I say we talk to them and get some more information before we react. I would be more interested in testing to see if any of us are set to one certain metal magic or another.
ReplyDeleteHopefully this will clarify a few things:
ReplyDeleteSka seems to be the term used to describe the slave or working class.
Mystings are magic users that only use one type of magic.
Mystborn are true wizards that can use any type of magic.
Preallons are mystings or mytborn that are recognized by the canton of inquisition, they are in short "authorized" wizards that have formal backing of their noble heritage.
All myst touched are of noble heritage, though ska myst touched are begotten from unauthorized unions and are hunted by the canton of inquisition and the steel ministry.
The rebellion is organized into seperate cells but it does appear that there may be a central figure if not a leader. They do have the ability to provide tattoos but you will need to negotiate with them to have them done. The tatoos come with a bit of risk to both the wearer as well as the tatooer. This in affect gives someone the appearance of being a preallon; which have quite a bit of authority, however, they rarely travel in groups with more than one or two preallons.
So far you guys are not certain of the significance of the white cloth, though it seems that the raw cloth somehow draws a mineral called atium from the ground. This material is very rare and expensive and seems to come only from the harvesting process.
