Thought I would start this out. Maybe if we put down in writing things that we believe have happened or are happening we might find out some interesting plots.
We were brought to this land by someone or something. All info that we have gotten so far was that only the Lord Ruler has the power to do such a thing. (Who brought us here and why?)
We and others have the ability to burn minerals. Where did this come from? Why couldnt we do it in Cathia?
We are in an area that suggests that the houses from the Netter Vale were here origionally, but have for some reason left?
You might want to look a little harder at your suppositions... here is an example of the first part:
supposition 1) the lord ruler is the only being capable of bringing us into this land: hypothesis: the lord ruler wants us here. Counter argument, the lord ruler has not attempted to make contact. Possible reasons: 1. we are doing what he intends... no guidance is needed. 2. the lord ruler is not able to make contact (sub a, because an error occurred in bringing us over, sub b, because he is not capable of contact, sub c, because someone or thing interfered with contact) 3. the lord ruler does not know we are here (query, who then summoned us).
Also I wanted to make sure that you were not given any false information about the Malices "taking control"... If you got the impression that they seem to be organized in some manner that threatens the lord ruler, this was not my intention. The Malices have not sought to "take control" of anything more than their immediate surroundings. their behavior is more self centered and self motivated from what you have observed.
You have both brought up some good points I would suggest you look at them more analytically.

ReplyDeleteFound two places where they make magic items. Very advanced tech, but now has been forgotten for many many years.
Lord Ruler has been around for hundreds of years and killed once but he came back with an vengence.
